Jilliane Yawney Biography
Jilliane Yawney is the founder of A Narrative Approach, where she empowers entrepreneurs and business people to communicate with impact using story.
Jilliane has been building the storytelling community in Calgary since 2012 when she founded the Calgary Story Slam. She is a faculty member at the Mount Royal Conservatory in the department of Speech & Dramatic Arts and is an expert storyteller, public presenter and instructor.
Jilliane spent 13 years in non-profit & management where she worked with teams to craft compelling narratives to better convey their message. She loves helping people build their voice and their confidence by guiding them to refine their message and grow their communication skills. Her educational credentials include an Associates of Speech & Dramatic Arts, BFA in Theatre and a Masters in Library & Information Studies where she wrote a thesis on storytelling & education.
